Quick Answer: PeopleLooker or BeenVerified?
Disclosure: Lullar earns a commission if you buy a Spokeo membership through links on this page. We have no affiliate link to PeopleLooker or BeenVerified. Free checks first, a paid report only if you still need one.
PeopleLooker and BeenVerified are run by the same company. Both privacy policies, read on 31 October 2026, say the website is “provided by The Lifetime Value Co. LLC”, acting through PeopleLooker LLC and BeenVerified, LLC respectively. So the choice is not about different data owners; it is about price, tools and which brand’s plan you sign up to.
- Lower published price for the same 100-report cap: PeopleLooker, $23.99 a month or $19.19 a month on a three-month plan, per its own offers page.
- Vehicle search by VIN and a published refund route: BeenVerified, $36.89 a month or $71.94 every three months on its pricing page.
- A different company’s data, searchable by email or username: Spokeo.
- Which public profiles exist, free: Lullar, no signup.
Signing up to both buys two subscriptions from one company. Pick one, or pick the independent option.
PeopleLooker vs BeenVerified Compared
From each company’s own pages as read on 31 October 2026. Prices are the ones those pages publish; the checkout screen is what binds you, and both companies say offers change.

Our paid people search services compared page lines these up against TruthFinder, Intelius and Instant Checkmate.
Spokeo, Inc. is a separate company. Its search takes a name, an email address or username, a phone number or an address, and its paid report gathers contact details, address history, social profiles, property data and, in some plans, court records from US public records. A trial converts to a renewing membership unless cancelled.
Search on Spokeo →One Company Behind Both: What Their Own Pages Say
People search for “BeenVerified and PeopleLooker” because the two sites look alike. Their pages confirm why. PeopleLooker’s privacy policy (last updated 10 October 2025) opens: “PeopleLooker.com (our website) is provided by The Lifetime Value Co. LLC. acting through PeopleLooker LLC”. BeenVerified’s (last updated 9 September 2026) uses the same sentence with BeenVerified, LLC. Both close with “This website is owned and operated by The Lifetime Value Co. LLC.” PeopleLooker’s About page adds: “The Lifetime Value Co., our parent company, has been in operation since 2007.”
The billing FAQs read almost word for word alike: both say a paid subscription gives “a limited number of reports each billing period”, renews “to the same term” until you cancel, and charges for a report “regardless of whether your search subject has a criminal record or not”. Both say they are not consumer reporting agencies. What differs is the price list, the tools and the support hours: PeopleLooker lists phone support 6:00am to 11:30pm, seven days a week; BeenVerified lists 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday, with email support around the clock.
We found nothing on either site saying the two share one account or one report history, so treat them as separate subscriptions with separate cancellations. Our BeenVerified review and PeopleLooker alternatives cover each brand on its own.

Prices, Trials and Report Limits
PeopleLooker’s Current Offers page lists three deals: a “7-day Trial for Only $1” with “Up to 100 Reports. No PDF Downloads”, then the “recurring standard monthly rate”; a “3 Month Membership for only $19.19/mo”; and a “1 Month Membership for only $23.99/mo”, both with “Up to 100 Reports. Unlimited PDF Downloads.” The trial terms do not name the standard monthly rate. Its FAQ says “we do not offer 1 time searches”, that the “report limit and plan renew every 30 days” and that “Report counts don’t roll over”. Its billing FAQ separately mentions “pay-as-you-go” customers who buy reports as needed; we found no pay-as-you-go price on any public page, so do not count on one.
BeenVerified’s pricing page publishes two plans, both after a seven-day trial limited to 100 reports: one month at “$36.89 plus applicable sales tax per month”, and three months at “$71.94 plus applicable sales tax every 3 months” ($23.98 a month), each “limited to running 100 reports per month”. Its offers page lists a “7-Day Trial for Only $1” followed by “$32.89/month”, plus 35% off the three-month plan and 10% off regular pricing. The two BeenVerified pages give different monthly figures; the screen at checkout decides.
On published numbers, PeopleLooker is the cheaper of the two for the same 100-report cap: $23.99 against $32.89–36.89 a month, or $19.19 against $23.98 a month on three months. Neither cap matters for most people, who run a handful of reports and cancel.
Search Tools, Refunds and Cancelling: Where They Differ
- Vehicles: BeenVerified’s About page lists “8 products for the price of one”, including vehicle search, and its homepage looks up a VIN. PeopleLooker lists “6 products in one” with no vehicle search.
- Username and email: both list email lookup and username search; BeenVerified says a username report may find “other social media accounts, full name, contact information”.
- Refunds: BeenVerified has a refund page: “We handle all refund requests on a case-by-case basis”, and its pricing page offers to “help you out or offer a refund” if you are dissatisfied with results. We found no refund policy page on PeopleLooker.
- Cancelling: both list cancellation by email, by Contact Us > Cancel My Account, by chat, by contact form with your nine-digit membership ID, or by phone. If you cancel, both keep the account active until the paid term ends.
- Who is notified: PeopleLooker’s FAQ says “The person you are searching for is not notified”; BeenVerified’s pricing page says “we don’t notify anybody that you have looked them up”.
- Coverage: US records at both; PeopleLooker’s FAQ says it covers only “US-based people”.
The Independent Option: Spokeo, After a Free Check
Because PeopleLooker and BeenVerified share an operator, the real second opinion is a different company. Spokeo’s homepage offers “Search by Email or Username” for “email owner information, connected social profiles, photos and videos, recent posts, and more”, alongside name, phone and address search, and describes records on “over 250 million people”. Its report categories include court records with the footnote “Criminal court records are not included in all plans. Additional fees may apply.” Its payment policy describes prepaid monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual plans; says a trial must be cancelled “prior to 11:59 PM PT on the last day of the trial”; that “Unused searches do not rollover”; and that “All sales of all Spokeo premium content are final.” It also mentions “Single Report purchases”, with terms shown at sign-up. Spokeo publishes no price; reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted about $20–25 a month. See our Spokeo review and Spokeo vs BeenVerified vs TruthFinder.
Before any of the three, run the free check. Lullar turns a name, email or username into one-click searches on 175 public platforms, checks a username directly on about 60 sites and checks an email’s Gravatar. It has no phone search or public records and cannot see private accounts. Guides: search social media accounts by email free, reverse username search and account finder.
How to Choose
- You only need public profiles from a name, email or username: Lullar free; stop there if it answers the question.
- You want the lowest published monthly price from this company: PeopleLooker.
- You need a VIN lookup or a stated refund route: BeenVerified.
- You want a second company’s records, or you hold only an email or handle: Spokeo.
- An unknown phone number: our who called me checks first.
- Your own listing removed: our removal guide.
Personal use only. PeopleLooker, BeenVerified and Spokeo each say they are not consumer reporting agencies under the FCRA, so their results may not be used for employment, tenant, credit, insurance or other eligibility decisions. Use a consumer reporting agency for those.
Before you click: Spokeo’s trial converts to a renewing membership unless you cancel before 11:59 PM PT on its last day, and its sales are final. Set a reminder when you sign up.

- Spokeo: homepage and payment policy (search tabs, report categories and footnote, trial cancellation time, prepaid terms, no roll-over, final sales).
Not verified: PeopleLooker’s standard monthly rate after the $1 trial, which its offers page does not state; whether either brand honours the other’s account; any Spokeo price.
