Quick answer: PeopleLooker is a US people-search subscription whose FAQ says it offers no one-time searches, limits reports per 30-day period and does not roll them over. The free alternative for a name, email or username is Lullar, which builds searches across 175 public platforms with no signup. For a paid report from an email, number or handle, Spokeo and BeenVerified accept those inputs; none of the three is an FCRA agency.

Quick Answer: The Best PeopleLooker Alternatives by Task

Disclosure: Lullar earns a commission if you buy a Spokeo membership through links on this page. Free checks first, a paid report only if you still need one.

PeopleLooker describes itself as “6 products in one”: People Search, Reverse Phone, Email Lookup, Address Lookup, Username Search and Unclaimed Money, plus a business product that routes to PeopleSmart. Its FAQ is clear about the model: “we do not offer 1 time searches”, a paid subscription gives “a limited number of reports each billing period”, “your report limit and plan renew every 30 days”, and “report counts don’t roll over”. People look for alternatives because they want one lookup, a free check, or a plan without a report cap.

PeopleLooker Alternatives Compared: Inputs, Free Layer and Billing

From each company’s own pages as read on 31 October 2026. Prices are left out of the table because PeopleLooker, Spokeo and BeenVerified all show theirs only at checkout; reviewer figures are given in the text and labelled.

PeopleLooker’s FAQ says its services “only provide information on US-based people”; Spokeo and BeenVerified compile US records too. Our paid people search comparison covers TruthFinder, Intelius and Instant Checkmate, not re-checked here.

The Paid Report for an Email, Number or Handle: Spokeo

Spokeo's search takes a name, email address or username, phone number or address, and its paid report gathers contact details, address history, social profiles and property records from US public records. Plans are prepaid monthly to annually, and a trial converts to a renewing membership unless cancelled.

What PeopleLooker Is, and Why People Switch

PeopleLooker is a US people-search subscription whose homepage says its reports “may include” names, addresses, photos, phone numbers, criminal records, court records, relatives and email addresses, and whose business search routes to PeopleSmart; reviewers and our BeenVerified review describe it as a sister brand of BeenVerified under The Lifetime Value Co., which its own pages do not state. Its FAQ answers the questions that send people looking elsewhere: no one-time searches; a limited number of reports per 30-day period that do not roll over; billing “at the start of each new billing period”; and no price on any public page, so the figure appears at sign-up. Reviewers in 2026 quoted a $1 seven-day trial, then about $25 a month or about $20 a month on a three-month plan, with up to 100 reports a month; those are third-party figures.

On the plus side its FAQ promises “hassle-free online cancellation” through Contact Us, chat, the contact form or phone, says “the person you are searching for is not notified”, and states plainly that it “is not a consumer reporting agency”. If you are leaving rather than avoiding it, cancel first; the limit renews with the plan.

Free Alternatives: Lullar and the Free Directories

Lullar is a free starting point, not a report: a name, email or username becomes one-click searches on 175 public platforms; a username is checked directly on about 60 of them; an email is checked for a Gravatar, and the part before the @ is tested as a username, where a hit may be someone else. It has no phone search or public records, cannot see private accounts, and does not detect which services an email is signed up to. That covers the search most people want from PeopleLooker’s Username Search and Email Lookup tabs: which public profiles sit behind a handle or an address. Start with the box above, or follow search social media accounts by email free, username search by email and account finder; for a handle alone, reverse username search and best username search tools compare the free checkers.

For a likely US address, age range and phone numbers from a name, free ad-supported directories such as TruePeopleSearch answer from a name, phone or address; they take no email or username, and listings are often a move behind. No free site gives you the cross-referenced report the subscriptions sell, and none shows anything inside a private account. See best free people search tools for the full list.

Paid Alternatives: Spokeo and BeenVerified

The free tools show which profiles exist, not the name behind a throwaway address, a street address history or relatives. For that you need a service that compiles public records and accepts the identifier you hold.

Spokeo’s homepage offers “Search by Email or Username” with “email owner information, connected social profiles, photos and videos, recent posts, and more”, plus name, phone and address search; its homepage lists six report categories: contact information (phone numbers, email addresses and usernames), address history, property data and assets, personal details, social media profiles and court records, the last with the footnote “Criminal court records are not included in all plans. Additional fees may apply.” Its payment policy describes prepaid monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual terms, where PeopleLooker’s FAQ describes a plan that renews every 30 days; like PeopleLooker, Spokeo’s searches do not roll over. Reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted about $20–25 a month and about $15 a month on a three-month plan, below PeopleLooker’s reported $25. Our Spokeo review covers what readers report.

BeenVerified’s homepage lists People Search, Reverse Phone, Email Lookup, Address Lookup, Username Search, Vehicle Lookup by VIN or plate, Unclaimed Money and Court Records; a username report “may be able to find other social media accounts, full name, contact information” where available. It is the closest swap for PeopleLooker’s toolset and adds the vehicle search; see our Spokeo vs BeenVerified vs TruthFinder comparison for the price and record differences.

Before you click: Spokeo’s payment policy says a trial converts to a renewing paid membership unless cancelled by 11:59 PM Pacific on its last day, with no refunds or proration. Trial length and price appear at sign-up.

PeopleLooker vs Spokeo and BeenVerified: Where They Differ

How to Choose a PeopleLooker Alternative

Personal use only. The consumer sites here say they are not consumer reporting agencies under the FCRA, so their results may not be used for employment, tenant, credit or insurance decisions. PeopleLooker's FAQ adds that using it for employment, insurance, credit, loan, education or housing decisions can lead to account termination and possible criminal penalties. Such decisions need a consumer reporting agency; none of these products is one.

Sources and Method (checked 31 October 2026)

Pages read on 31 October 2026 without creating accounts or buying reports; we quote them, not third-party reviews, except where a reviewer figure is labelled as such. No price is given as official because none of the three companies shows one on a public page.

Not verified: PeopleLooker’s ownership, current price, trial and report limit, which come from reviewers; TruePeopleSearch’s current listings; any BeenVerified price.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best free alternative to PeopleLooker?

For a name, email or username, Lullar: it builds searches across 175 public platforms with no signup, checks a username on about 60 sites and checks an email's Gravatar. For a US address or phone from a name, a free ad-supported directory such as TruePeopleSearch. Neither replaces a paid report's address history or relatives.

Is PeopleLooker free?

Searching is; reports are not. Its FAQ says all searches run inside an account once you sign up, that a paid subscription gives a limited number of reports each billing period, and that the plan and limit renew every 30 days. No price appears on its public pages.

Does PeopleLooker offer a one-time search?

No. Its FAQ says: we do not offer 1 time searches on PeopleLooker. Every plan is a subscription that renews every 30 days with a report limit that does not roll over. For a single lookup, start with the free checks; for a membership, compare Spokeo's prepaid terms.

PeopleLooker vs BeenVerified: what is the difference?

Reviewers describe them as sister brands under The Lifetime Value Co., which PeopleLooker's own pages do not state. Both list people, phone, email, address and username search and unclaimed money; BeenVerified adds vehicle lookup by VIN or plate and court records as separate tools. Both show prices only at checkout.

PeopleLooker vs Spokeo: which is better?

Both accept a name, email, username, phone or address. PeopleLooker renews every 30 days with a report limit that does not roll over; Spokeo offers prepaid monthly to annual terms, and reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted it lower per month. Run Lullar's free check first, then pick the one whose billing matches how long you need it.

Can I use PeopleLooker or its alternatives to screen a tenant or employee?

No. PeopleLooker's FAQ says it is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and that using it for employment, insurance, credit, education or housing decisions can lead to account termination and possible criminal penalties. Spokeo and BeenVerified make the same FCRA statement. Use a consumer reporting agency.
