Quick Answer: The Best FastPeopleSearch Alternative Depends on What It Could Not Do

Disclosure: Lullar earns a commission if you buy a Spokeo membership through links on this page. Free checks first, a paid report only if you still need one.

FastPeopleSearch is a free, ad-supported US directory that finds “a person by name, phone number, or street address”. People look for an alternative for four reasons that are visible on its own pages: it has no email or username search, its results list names, phones, addresses and relatives but no social profiles or court records, it blocks visitors from outside the United States (our request on 31 October 2026 got a Cloudflare block page), and its terms say the data comes “as-is” with “no guarantees” about accuracy.

What FastPeopleSearch Does, From Its Own Pages

FastPeopleSearch’s live site returned a Cloudflare “Sorry, you have been blocked” page to our request from outside the US on 31 October 2026, so the quotes here come from copies of its own pages saved by the Wayback Machine: its About page (2 October 2026), its Terms of Use (effective 1 February 2026, archived 3 October 2026) and its homepage (31 December 2025). US readers can check the live pages.

The homepage says “Find a person by name, phone number, or street address”, with a fourth “Near Me” search that asks for your location to show nearby properties. “Our people search is 100% FREE! And our data is updated regularly. It includes landline, cell phone, business and residential phone numbers, as well as information for addresses and people all across the U.S.” An address search “will reveal current and past tenants, going back up to 40 years”, searches are “completely anonymous” and “the person you’re searching for won’t be notified”. Its About page lists what a result can hold: “Full name, Phone number, Address, Business phone number, Relatives or connections”. The homepage shows its own scale figures, “16.5B Records Available” and “800m Unique People”, which we repeat as its claims, and both pages carry an offer for the developer API of its data partner, EnformionGO.

The footer on every page reads: “FastPeopleSearch.com is not a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This site can’t be used for employment, credit or tenant screening, or any related purpose.” Its terms add that the sites and content are provided “as-is” and “with all faults and without warranties of any kind”, that it makes “no guarantees to our users about the accuracy, legitimacy, or legality of any information or how recently any information was collected or updated”, and that disputes go to binding arbitration. There is a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer; our removal guide covers the opt-out steps for it and the other directories.

The Paid Alternative That Takes an Email or Username: Spokeo

Spokeo's search takes a name, an email address or username, a phone number or an address, and its paid report gathers contact details, address history, social profiles, property data and, in some plans, court records from US public records. A trial converts to a renewing membership unless cancelled.

FastPeopleSearch Alternatives Compared

Spokeo and Social Catfish were read live on 31 October 2026. TruePeopleSearch, like FastPeopleSearch, blocked our request, so its rows come from Wayback Machine copies of its own pages (homepage 23 April 2025, help page 5 June 2026). Prices: Social Catfish publishes its FAQ figures; Spokeo shows its price only at checkout, so its row is reviewer-reported and labelled.

Free Alternatives: Lullar for Email and Username, TruePeopleSearch for the Same Directory Job

Lullar covers the input FastPeopleSearch lacks. A name, email or username becomes one-click searches on 175 public platforms; a username is checked directly on about 60 of them; an email is checked for a Gravatar, and the part before the @ is tested as a username, where a hit may be someone else. It is free, needs no signup and works from any country. It is not a records directory: it has no phone or address search, no relatives, no public records, cannot see private accounts, and does not detect which services an email is signed up to. Run it from the box above; search social media accounts by email and reverse username search show each step.

TruePeopleSearch is the closest free swap for the directory job itself. Its help page calls it “a 100% free people search, reverse phone lookup and address lookup service” funded by ads, with “no accounts and no signup or login forms”; its result lists “current and past addresses, phone numbers, relatives, friends, roommates, email addresses, and business ownership”, and its homepage adds an Email search tab that FastPeopleSearch does not have. Like FastPeopleSearch it holds US records, lists no social profiles or court records, says it cannot correct a wrong entry, and blocked our request from outside the US. Our Spokeo vs TruePeopleSearch comparison goes deeper, and who called me orders the free phone checks.

Paid Alternatives: Spokeo for the Report, Social Catfish for the Photo

The free directories show where a person has lived and which numbers they have had. For the social profiles behind an email, the name behind a username, or court records, you need a service that compiles public records and accepts the identifier you hold.

Spokeo’s homepage offers four search tabs, Name, Email (“Search by Email or Username”), Phone and Address, and lists six report categories: contact information (phone numbers, email addresses and usernames), address history, property data and assets, personal details, social media profiles and court records, the last with the footnote “Criminal court records are not included in all plans. Additional fees may apply.” It describes “public records on over 250 million people” in the US. Its payment policy says plans are prepaid monthly to annually, renew at the same term, and that “unused searches do not rollover”; it also mentions “Single Report purchases”, with the terms shown at sign-up. Reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted about $20–25 a month and about $15 a month on a three-month plan. Our Spokeo review covers what readers report.

Social Catfish is the paid alternative when your lead is a photo: its homepage says “Search by name, phone, email, photo, username, or address”, and its FAQ publishes its prices ($6.48 or $6.87 for a 3-day trial then $28.94 or $28.97 every 30 days in one answer; $5.73 or $5.99 for 5 days then $27.48 or $26.99 in another), sold as tokens (“1 token = 1 matched result”) or unlimited plans, with no refunds “once a search has been conducted or data has been accessed”. Our Spokeo vs Social Catfish comparison has the full table.

Before you click: Spokeo’s payment policy says a trial converts to a renewing paid membership unless cancelled by 11:59 PM Pacific on its last day, with no refunds or proration. Trial length and price appear at sign-up.

What None of Them Does

None of these services shows anything inside a private account, none verifies that a photo belongs to the person who sent it, and none publishes an accuracy rate. FastPeopleSearch, TruePeopleSearch and Spokeo hold US records only. FastPeopleSearch and TruePeopleSearch say they cannot correct an entry, only remove it. Spokeo says criminal records “may not relate to the subject of your search”. Treat every result as a lead and confirm it with a second source, and for a photo start with a free reverse image search; Lullar vs Spokeo shows where the free profile check stops and the paid report begins.

How to Pick a FastPeopleSearch Alternative

Personal use only. Every service on this page says it is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, and FastPeopleSearch's footer says it “can't be used for employment, credit or tenant screening, or any related purpose”. Such decisions need a consumer reporting agency; none of these products is one.

Sources and Method (checked 31 October 2026)

Spokeo and Social Catfish were read live on 31 October 2026 without logging in or buying anything. FastPeopleSearch and TruePeopleSearch returned Cloudflare “Sorry, you have been blocked” pages to our requests from outside the US that day, so their quotes come from copies of their own pages saved by the Wayback Machine, dated below. We quote the companies, not third-party reviews, except where a reviewer figure is labelled as such.

Not verified: Spokeo’s current price and trial terms, FastPeopleSearch’s or TruePeopleSearch’s wording after their archive dates, and any service’s accuracy on a given person.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best alternative to FastPeopleSearch?

It depends on what FastPeopleSearch could not do for you. For an email address or username, Lullar is free and Spokeo is the paid report. For the same free name, phone and address lookup, TruePeopleSearch adds an email search. For a photo, use free reverse image engines and then Social Catfish.

Is there a free alternative to FastPeopleSearch?

Yes. Lullar is free with no signup for a name, email or username and works from any country, and TruePeopleSearch is a free, ad-supported US directory for name, phone, address and email. Neither needs an account.

Why is FastPeopleSearch blocked for me?

Our request from outside the United States on 31 October 2026 received a Cloudflare block page from both FastPeopleSearch and TruePeopleSearch. Both hold US records only. Lullar works from anywhere, and Spokeo's site opens abroad although its records are US-only.

Does FastPeopleSearch search by email or username?

No. Its homepage offers name, phone number, street address and a near-me search. Lullar checks a name, email or username free across public platforms, and Spokeo's Email tab is labelled Search by Email or Username.

Is FastPeopleSearch accurate?

Its terms say the sites and content are provided as-is with no guarantees about the accuracy, legitimacy or legality of any information or how recently it was updated. The other services on this page make similar statements, so confirm any result with a second source.

Can I use FastPeopleSearch or its alternatives to screen a tenant or employee?

No. FastPeopleSearch's footer says it is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and can't be used for employment, credit or tenant screening. Spokeo, TruePeopleSearch and Social Catfish say the same. Use a consumer reporting agency.
