Quick Answer: Is Nuwber Free, and What to Use Instead

Disclosure: Lullar earns a commission if you buy a Spokeo membership through links on this page. Free checks first, a paid report only if you still need one.

Nuwber is free to search, but the free version is a preview: reviewers say it limits what each profile shows and how many profiles you can open, and the rest needs a subscription. The alternatives, by what you need:

Is Nuwber Free?

Partly. Nuwber’s search is free, and a free result shows a preview. Security.org’s Nuwber guide says the free version limits some of the data shown and the number of profiles you can view; an older review quoted Nuwber as saying the free version showed five pages, and we could not confirm a current number. Full profiles need a paid plan.

Reviews list a $1 three-day trial that then bills monthly, about $27.99 a month, $53.97 for three months or $169.99 a year, all with unlimited reports. Those figures come from reviews up to two years old, and Nuwber does not show a price before you search, so check the amount at checkout. We could not read nuwber.com ourselves: it returned a Cloudflare block page to our requests from Thailand on 2 November 2026.

Everything Nuwber's Preview Hides, in One Report: Spokeo

Spokeo's search takes a name, a phone number, an address, or an email or username, and its paid report gathers current contact details, address history, relatives, social profiles and, in some plans, court records from US public records. A trial converts to a renewing membership unless cancelled.

Free Alternatives Without a Preview Limit

TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch show the whole free listing, with no paid tier for the basics and no account: a likely current address, past addresses, phone numbers and possible relatives. TruePeopleSearch also takes an email address. Both are ad-supported, US-only, and say their data may be out of date, so check one against the other. Our TruePeopleSearch alternatives and FastPeopleSearch alternatives pages cover what to do when they fail.

For a phone number, USPhoneBook gives the linked name free. Our best reverse phone lookup sites and who called me pages compare the rest.

Social Profiles From a Name, Email or Username: Lullar

Nuwber lists “social profiles” among its results. If that is the part you want, you don’t need a people-search subscription. Lullar does that job free, with no signup and no account. A name, email or username becomes one-click searches on 175 public platforms; a username is checked directly on about 60 of them; an email is checked for a Gravatar, and the part before the @ is tested as a username, where a hit may be someone else. It cannot see private accounts and has no phone search, addresses or public records.

Use the box above, or start with find someone on social media by name or search social media accounts by email free.

When the Free Result Isn't Enough: Spokeo

If you keep hitting Nuwber’s preview, or the free directories show an old address, a paid report puts a US resident’s current address, phone numbers, relatives and address history on one page instead of profile by profile. Spokeo’s homepage offers search by name, phone, address and “Search by Email or Username”, describes “over 12 billion records” and access to public records on “over 250 million people”, and footnotes that “Criminal court records are not included in all plans. Additional fees may apply.” Its payment policy describes trial cancellation “prior to 11:59 PM PT on the last day of the trial”, “Unused searches do not rollover” and “All sales of all Spokeo premium content are final.” Spokeo does not publish a monthly price on its homepage; reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted about $20–25 a month.

Read our Spokeo review first, and compare the others in paid people search services compared.

Personal use only. Spokeo says it is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, so its results may not be used for employment, tenant, credit, insurance or other eligibility decisions, and TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch say the same of themselves. Use a consumer reporting agency for those.

Before you click: Spokeo’s trial converts to a renewing membership unless you cancel before 11:59 PM PT on its last day, and its sales are final.

How to Remove Yourself From Nuwber

Removal is free. Nuwber’s removal page (nuwber.com/removal/link) gives these steps; we read them as published in search results, because the page blocked us from Thailand:

  1. Search your name and state on Nuwber and open your listing.
  2. Copy the listing’s URL, paste it into the removal page and click “Opt Out”.
  3. Enter your email address and click the confirmation link Nuwber sends; check your spam folder.

Nuwber says removal may take up to 48 hours, and that “since we didn’t create public records, we can only remove them from our own website.” Repeat for each listing you have. For every other site, use our guide to removing yourself from people search sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nuwber free?

Partly. Searching is free and shows a preview, but reviewers say the free version limits what each profile shows and how many you can open. Full profiles need a paid plan, which reviews list at about $27.99 a month after a $1 trial.

What sites are like Nuwber?

TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch give a free US listing of address, phones and relatives; FamilyTreeNow is similar; USPhoneBook looks up a phone number. Lullar finds social profiles. Spokeo sells a full report.

Is Nuwber legit and safe?

Nuwber is an established people-search site that compiles public records and offers a free opt-out. The $1 trial reviewers describe turns into a monthly charge unless you cancel, and like any people-search site its data can be out of date. It is not meant for tenant, job or credit decisions.

Nuwber vs Spokeo: which has more data?

Neither publishes figures we can compare like for like. Spokeo's homepage describes over 12 billion records and also searches by email or username; Nuwber does not show its record count. Run the free search on both and compare the previews.

Does Nuwber work outside the US?

It blocked our requests from Thailand on 2 November 2026, and its records cover US residents. Outside the US, Lullar finds someone's public social profiles from a name, email or username, free.

How do I remove myself from Nuwber?

Find your listing, paste its URL into nuwber.com/removal/link, click Opt Out, then confirm through the email Nuwber sends. Nuwber says it can take up to 48 hours, and it only removes the listing from its own site.
