Quick Answer: The Best FastBackgroundCheck Alternatives
Disclosure: Lullar earns a commission if you buy a Spokeo membership through links on this page. Free checks first, a paid report only if you still need one.
FastBackgroundCheck is a free US people search by name, phone or address, but it refuses many visitors with a Cloudflare page that says “Sorry, you have been blocked”. It refused us from outside the US on 2 November 2026, and US users search “fastbackgroundcheck blocked” too. What to use instead, by task:
- A free US name or address lookup: TruePeopleSearch, FastPeopleSearch or SearchPeopleFree.
- A free phone lookup: our reverse phone lookup sites page.
- Their public social profiles from a name, email or username, anywhere: Lullar, free, no signup.
- Current address, phone, relatives and address history in one report on a US resident: Spokeo, paid.
Why FastBackgroundCheck Blocks You
What we saw on 2 November 2026: every request to fastbackgroundcheck.com from Thailand, in Chrome and from a script, got the Cloudflare page “Sorry, you have been blocked”. The Internet Archive’s copy from 16 September 2026 is the same block page, so the archive’s crawler was refused too. That page comes from a rule the site owner sets: Cloudflare’s block page itself says the site uses a security service and that the action you just performed triggered it.
We don’t know FastBackgroundCheck’s exact rules, and it has not published them. The site still loads for many US visitors. The usual fixes:
- Turn off a VPN, proxy or privacy relay and reload. Data-center and foreign addresses are the most common reason these sites refuse a visitor.
- Allow JavaScript and cookies for the site, or try a normal (not private) browser window; the check page needs both.
- Slow down. Many searches in a row from one connection can trip the same rule; wait a while.
- Use another free site for the same search (below). Never use tools that try to get around a block.
Spokeo's search takes a name, a phone number, an address, or an email or username, and its paid report gathers current contact details, address history, relatives, social profiles and, in some plans, court records from US public records. A trial converts to a renewing membership unless cancelled.
Search on Spokeo →FastBackgroundCheck Alternatives Compared
From each service’s own pages and our earlier reviews, except where marked. All the free directories here publish the same kind of US public-records listing; Similarweb ranks Spokeo as the site most similar to FastBackgroundCheck.
| Service | Search by | Free? | Outside the US? | What it returns |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TruePeopleSearch | Name, phone, address, email | Yes, ad-supported | Blocked our request from Thailand | Likely current address, past addresses, phones, possible relatives |
| FastPeopleSearch | Name, phone, street address | Yes, ad-supported | Blocked our request from Thailand | The same kind of listing; a useful second opinion |
| SearchPeopleFree | Name, phone, address, email | Yes; offers a paid full report | Blocked our request from Thailand | Age, addresses, phones, likely relatives; see SearchPeopleFree alternatives |
| CyberBackgroundChecks | Name, phone, address | Yes, per 2026 guides | A check page stopped our request from Thailand | Address and phone listing; see CyberBackgroundChecks alternatives |
| Lullar | Name, username, email | Yes, no signup | Yes, any country | Links to matching public social profiles on 175 platforms; no addresses |
| Spokeo | Name, phone, address, email or username | Search free; report paid | US records only | Contact details, address history, relatives, social profiles, some court records |
The free directories are US-only and often refuse visitors on a VPN or outside the US. If that is you, start with Lullar for the social side.

Free Name and Address Search: TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch
For the job most people use FastBackgroundCheck for, a free look at where a US resident lives and how to reach them, the closest replacements are TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch. Both are free, ad-supported and need no account.
- TruePeopleSearch also takes an email address.
- FastPeopleSearch is the second opinion when a listing is missing or years old; the two often differ.
- SearchPeopleFree is a third free option with an email search; see our SearchPeopleFree alternatives page.
All of them say their data comes from public records and may be out of date, so check two sources before you rely on an address. Our how to find someone’s address guide walks through every free source, and TruePeopleSearch alternatives and FastPeopleSearch alternatives list the next options when those fail too.
Free Phone Lookup Instead of FastBackgroundCheck
Many people use FastBackgroundCheck to put a name to a US phone number. The free routes for that:
- TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch both have a phone search.
- Our best reverse phone lookup sites page compares the free and paid phone tools.
- How to find someone’s name from a phone number covers the free tricks first: search engines, messaging apps and caller-ID apps.
Outside the US, or Blocked Everywhere: Lullar
If FastBackgroundCheck blocks you because of where you are, the other US directories probably will too. Finding someone’s public social profiles works from anywhere. Lullar does that job free, with no signup and no account. A name, email or username becomes one-click searches on 175 public platforms; a username is checked directly on about 60 of them; an email is checked for a Gravatar, and the part before the @ is tested as a username, where a hit may be someone else. It cannot see private accounts and has no phone search, addresses or public records.
Use the box above, or follow find someone on social media by name. Lullar works for names outside the US too, because it searches the platforms themselves rather than US records.
When the Free Result Isn't Enough: Spokeo
Free directories stop at a likely address and a list of numbers, and they are often stale. If you need the current address, phone numbers, relatives and address history of a US resident on one page, that is a paid report. Spokeo’s homepage offers search by name, phone, address and “Search by Email or Username”, describes “over 12 billion records” and access to public records on “over 250 million people”, and footnotes that “Criminal court records are not included in all plans. Additional fees may apply.” Its payment policy describes trial cancellation “prior to 11:59 PM PT on the last day of the trial”, “Unused searches do not rollover” and “All sales of all Spokeo premium content are final.” Spokeo does not publish a monthly price on its homepage; reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted about $20–25 a month.
Read our Spokeo review first, and compare the others in paid people search services compared or Spokeo alternatives. We know of no ownership link between Spokeo and FastBackgroundCheck.
Personal use only. Spokeo says it is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, so its results may not be used for employment, tenant, credit, insurance or other eligibility decisions. FastBackgroundCheck, SearchPeopleFree, TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch say the same of themselves. Use a consumer reporting agency for those.
Before you click: Spokeo’s trial converts to a renewing membership unless you cancel before 11:59 PM PT on its last day, and its sales are final.
How to Remove Yourself From FastBackgroundCheck
Removal is free and needs no account. We could not open the opt-out page from Thailand, so these steps are as 2026 removal guides describe them (Incogni, updated September 2026; MyPrivacyAgent and DelistMyData, checked August–October 2026):
- Open fastbackgroundcheck.com/optout (the older /removal address forwards there).
- Enter your name and email address, agree to receive the opt-out emails, solve the CAPTCHA and submit.
- Open the email from FastBackgroundCheck titled “Complete your fastbackgroundcheck.com privacy request”. Guides say its link works for 24 hours.
- Complete the removal form it opens, solve the CAPTCHA again and submit. Guides say processing can take up to three days.
Older guides describe searching for your record and clicking “Remove my record”; that flow has been replaced. Removal covers this one site only. For the rest, use our guide to removing yourself from people search sites.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is FastBackgroundCheck free?
2026 removal and review guides describe FastBackgroundCheck as a free US people search by name, phone or address, and its opt-out is free. We could not check its own pages on 2 November 2026, because it blocked our requests from outside the US.
Why is FastBackgroundCheck blocking me?
The "Sorry, you have been blocked" page comes from a security rule the site set in Cloudflare. Common triggers are a VPN or data-center connection, a non-US address, or many searches in a row. Turn the VPN off, allow cookies and JavaScript, wait, or use TruePeopleSearch or FastPeopleSearch instead.
Is FastBackgroundCheck accurate?
No people-search site guarantees its data. FastBackgroundCheck compiles public records and says it is not a consumer reporting agency, so a listing can be out of date or mix up people with the same name. Confirm an address with a second source.
Does FastBackgroundCheck work outside the US?
Not for us: every request from Thailand on 2 November 2026 was blocked, and its records cover US residents anyway. Outside the US, Lullar finds someone's public social profiles from a name, email or username, free.
What is better than FastBackgroundCheck?
For the same free US search, TruePeopleSearch, FastPeopleSearch and SearchPeopleFree. For social profiles, Lullar. For a US resident's current details, relatives and address history in one report, Spokeo, which is paid.
Can I use FastBackgroundCheck or an alternative to screen a tenant or employee?
No. FastBackgroundCheck, Spokeo, TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch say they are not consumer reporting agencies under the FCRA, so their results may not be used for employment, tenancy, credit or insurance decisions. Use a consumer reporting agency.
