Quick Answer: What to Use When CyberBackgroundChecks Won't Load

Disclosure: Lullar earns a commission if you buy a Spokeo membership through links on this page. Free checks first, a paid report only if you still need one.

CyberBackgroundChecks is a free US people search run by CyberBackgroundChecks, Inc. Many visitors get stuck on a Cloudflare browser check before any result appears. Ours did from outside the US on 2 November 2026, and US users search “cyberbackgroundchecks not working” and “blocked”. What to use instead, by task:

Why CyberBackgroundChecks Isn't Loading

What we saw on 2 November 2026: every request to cyberbackgroundchecks.com from Thailand, including its removal page, got a Cloudflare “Managed Challenge”, the check page that decides whether to let a browser through. The Internet Archive’s copy from 15 September 2026 is the same check page. A check page is not an outage: the site sets it, and it lets many US visitors through after a few seconds. When it keeps looping or refuses you:

We have no information on outages at CyberBackgroundChecks and don’t guess; if the check page passes and the search still fails, try again later or use one of the sites below.

A US Name's Address, Phone and Relatives in One Report: Spokeo

Spokeo's search takes a name, a phone number, an address, or an email or username, and its paid report gathers current contact details, address history, relatives, social profiles and, in some plans, court records from US public records. A trial converts to a renewing membership unless cancelled.

Same Search, Different Site

Pick the free site by what you have:

All of these compile public records and can be out of date, so check two sources before you rely on an address.

Outside the US, or Blocked Everywhere: Lullar

If CyberBackgroundChecks keeps stopping you at the browser check, the other US directories may as well. Finding someone’s public social profiles works from anywhere. Lullar does that job free, with no signup and no account. A name, email or username becomes one-click searches on 175 public platforms; a username is checked directly on about 60 of them; an email is checked for a Gravatar, and the part before the @ is tested as a username, where a hit may be someone else. It cannot see private accounts and has no phone search, addresses or public records.

Use the box above, or follow find someone on social media by name. Lullar works for names outside the US too, because it searches the platforms themselves rather than US records.

When the Free Result Isn't Enough: Spokeo

Free directories stop at a likely address and a list of numbers, and they are often stale. If you need the current address, phone numbers, relatives and address history of a US resident on one page, that is a paid report. Spokeo’s homepage offers search by name, phone, address and “Search by Email or Username”, describes “over 12 billion records” and access to public records on “over 250 million people”, and footnotes that “Criminal court records are not included in all plans. Additional fees may apply.” Its payment policy describes trial cancellation “prior to 11:59 PM PT on the last day of the trial”, “Unused searches do not rollover” and “All sales of all Spokeo premium content are final.” Spokeo does not publish a monthly price on its homepage; reviewers in autumn 2026 quoted about $20–25 a month.

Read our Spokeo review first, and compare the others in paid people search services compared or Spokeo alternatives. We know of no ownership link between Spokeo and CyberBackgroundChecks.

Personal use only. Spokeo says it is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, so its results may not be used for employment, tenant, credit, insurance or other eligibility decisions. FastBackgroundCheck, SearchPeopleFree, TruePeopleSearch and FastPeopleSearch say the same of themselves. Use a consumer reporting agency for those.

Before you click: Spokeo’s trial converts to a renewing membership unless you cancel before 11:59 PM PT on its last day, and its sales are final.

How to Remove Yourself From CyberBackgroundChecks

Removal is free. We could not open the removal pages from Thailand, so these steps are as 2026 removal guides describe them (Optery, Incogni, RedactZero checked July 2026, MyDataRemoval):

  1. Find your listing first by name and current city, and copy what it shows.
  2. Open cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal. Guides also list /ccparemoval, a California form that asks for more details; if you are outside California, use /removal.
  3. Enter your name and email address, complete the CAPTCHA and consent box, and request the link.
  4. Open the link in the email, fill in the removal form and submit. Guides report the listing goes within one to three days.

Privacy guides note that removed listings can reappear months later, so search for yourself again from time to time. This covers CyberBackgroundChecks only; our guide to removing yourself from people search sites covers the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CyberBackgroundChecks free?

2026 guides describe CyberBackgroundChecks as a free US people search, and its opt-out is free. We could not confirm on its own pages, because a Cloudflare check stopped our requests from outside the US on 2 November 2026.

Why does CyberBackgroundChecks keep checking my browser?

That screen is a Cloudflare check the site turned on to filter automated traffic. It loops or refuses when JavaScript or cookies are blocked, on a VPN or data-center connection, from outside the US, or after many quick searches. Fix those, wait, or use TruePeopleSearch instead.

Is CyberBackgroundChecks down?

We cannot say for everyone. On 2 November 2026 it answered our requests from Thailand with a check page rather than an error, which means the site was running but refusing us. If it fails for you, try another network, or use TruePeopleSearch or FastPeopleSearch.

Is CyberBackgroundChecks safe to use?

It is a data broker that compiles public records into listings, run by CyberBackgroundChecks, Inc. Searching does not need an account. Like any people-search site its data can be out of date, it offers a free removal form, and its results are not for tenant, job or credit decisions.

What sites are like CyberBackgroundChecks?

TruePeopleSearch, FastPeopleSearch, SearchPeopleFree and FastBackgroundCheck give the same kind of free US listing. Lullar finds social profiles from a name, email or username. Spokeo, which Similarweb ranks as the most similar site, sells a full report.

How do I remove myself from CyberBackgroundChecks?

Use cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal: enter your name and email, open the emailed link, then complete the removal form. 2026 guides report it takes one to three days and covers this site only. A /ccparemoval form exists for California residents.
